Double Lever Noel Card by Tya

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!Today I am sharing one of Lori's new holiday cards up on the blog today for you to see. This double lever card technique is one of my favorites and I love that Lori added a couple of new ones to her library. Here is the one that I decided to use:

You can find it here on the Silhouette Design Store: A2 Double Lever Card Noel This card would be really a fun one to give to loved ones or even us it as table decor for your holiday parties.  Here are a few close ups- I used Lori's The Story of Christmas Line for Echo Park for the papers and stickers. I add a few embellishments like jewels, a star enamel shape and some twine to dress up the card.

Thanks for joining me! Make sure you stop by Lori Whitlock online store and the Silhouette online shop to see all of Lori's fun new holiday card shapes! They are sure to bring a little holly jolly into your holiday card making! Happy Crafting!

Doodlebug Design Goal Collection Layout

Hi Doodlebug fans - it's Tya and I am up on the blog today sharing a fun layout featuring the new Goal Collection and I must say as a full fledged soccer mom , this collection is amazing!! I was so excited to design with it!
As I said , I am a die hard, tried and true soccer mom. My youngest daughter has been playing competition soccer for about 6 years now and I was tickled when I heard that Doodlebug was designing a soccer line, and it is perfect for my OODLES of soccer photos!  My daughter got the chance to train with one of the professional MLS soccer players from Real Salt Lake and it was so cool - So here's my layout showing some highlights of that awesome day!
One technique that I like to use when I have a lot of photos from one event is to resize the photos into smaller photos and make a grid layout. For the layout above my photos and papers are sized 3 inches by 3 inches. Another reason I like the grid technique is I get a chance to use a lot of different pattern papers on the same layout. I used the 6x6 paper pad for this layout. I like the use of a smaller scaled print so it doesn't get too busy with a lot of bold patterns. Just a little tip if you like grids like I do. :)

Here are a few close ups of the layout:

I used the darling black and white washi tape on the journaling block. Doesn't it look just like a referee jersey? Love it!!

Doodlebug Pixies are the perfect embellishment for the pennant stickers to make an awesome looking flag. I also used one of the soccer balls from the Goal Craft Kit. I added some Tangerine Skinny letter stickers to add a pop of color to the title.

I added some word stickers from the This and That sticker sheet and mounted them on cardstock banners. The stars are from the paper craft kit and of course , I added some Sprinkles enamel dots  here and there to finish of the layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - hopefully I have inspired you to pull out all of those oodles of soccer photos you have and make a fun grid style layout with them! Happy scrapping everyone!

November Link Up over on Lori Whitlock.com

Hi everyone! Hopefully you all had a wonderful October with all the Halloween festivities and fun that goes along with that! We are officially in November - one of my favorite months! Not only is it my birthday month, but I just love Thanksgiving! What a wonderful time it is to meet with friends and family and take time to reflect on all we are thankful for. I decided for my link up over on Lori Whitlock 's blog -  we will focus on giving thanks! Whether that is a festive Thanksgiving project or simply a beautiful thank you card to someone special - you decide!
For my project this month, I decided to add to my Thanksgiving decor and do a charger plate with one of Lori's beautiful sayings on it. Here is the project-

I used some vinyl for the saying.I used this one- Give Thanks Vinyl
Lori has a few other great sayings in her shop that would be wonderful to use on a charger plate. Check some of them out over on her Shop. I added a few enamel dots from the Story of Fall enamel dot set to the flourish part of the saying for an added pop.

I added a couple of lovely 3 dimensional flowers to my plate. I used this flower and this flower. The Sunflower has a brad from the Story of Fall Collection Decorative Brad set in the middle. To finish off the plate, I added a thin twine rope with some hot glue to the plate.

That's all there is to it ! This would make a great hostess gift if you are going to someone's home for dinner, or just do as I did and add it to your own home decor.
 Thanks for stopping by!
